Ich bin nach Passau gereist, um Freunde nach längerer Zeit wiederzusehen. Außerdem wollte ich die Stadt ein wenig kennenlernen, in der eine andere gute Freundin von mir aufgewachsen ist. Passau ist wirklich so schön, wie sie mir erzählte. Und außerdem ein vorzüglicher Einstieg in eine Reise, die mich durch einige Städte Norditaliens führen sollte. Vor Ort fand ich bestätigt, was ich im Reisemagazin der ZEIT einmal las:

I traveled to Passau to see friends again after a long time. I also wanted to get to know the city a little, where another good friend of mine grew up. Passau really is as beautiful as she told me before the trip. And also an excellent introduction to a journey that was to take me through some cities in northern Italy. On site I found very much confirmation of what I once read in the ZEIT travel magazine:
“You don’t always have to travel to Italy to experience Italian flair up close.
A walk through Vienna, Regensburg or Passau can be enough: Italian artists and architects characterize the cityscape of many German-speaking cities.”
